Riverview High School will be closed on Monday due to a potential threat to students and staff.
A letter from Anglophone East Acting Superintendent Kathy Grebenc was sent to parents on Sunday.
It states, “This is as a result of school and district staff learning of a potential threat to the safety of RHS students and staff.”
It also says that school and district staff are working with the RCMP to investigate the situation thoroughly to ensure safety of staff and students.
Codiac RCMP say a 16-year-old has been arrested in connection to the threat, but no further details were released.
RHS Exams that were to be written on Monday will be rescheduled.
A list of resources for support and guidance was also provided for students and parents who require it.
Anglophone East School District is expected to provide an update on Monday with more information.
