A man was rushed to hospital after an accident this morning that originated on the Homestead Road in Moncton.
Fire Platoon Chief Brian McDonald says at around 8:45am, a pick up truck hit a guardrail and went off the road and travelled a distance through a field.
The vehicle then hit a second guard rail and came to a stop on Route 126.
McDonald says the driver was treated on scene by members of Moncton Fire and Ambulance New Brunswick, and then taken to hospital.
There’s no word on his condition.
It’s believed the man suffered a medical emergency before the crash.
RCMP are investigating.
