With more than 20 years of experience as a lawyer, Corinne Godbout is looking to bring her knowledge to Dieppe’s City Council.
A candidate for Councillor-at-Large, Godbout worked in private practice focused on business and tax law before becoming a senior counsel in the Business and Regulatory Law Portfolio for the Department of Justice Canada.
With extensive business experience, it comes as no surprise one of her main priorities is developing initiatives that encourage buying local and entrepreneurship. She also intends to increase municipal efforts to reduce the isolation of citizens and purchase undeveloped land to preserve more green space in the city.
The Université de Moncton alumna has been an active member of the community as a chair of the Planning Advisory Committee of the City of Dieppe and a member of several School Parent Advisory Committees.
“Now is the perfect opportunity for me to further serve my community by joining Dieppe’s City Council. I want to thank everyone who encouraged me to come forward,” she said
The municipal elections are set for May 10th.
