A former chairperson of the Anglophone East School District Council is seeking a seat on Moncton City Council in Ward 3 in this spring’s municipal elections.
Tamara Nichol has lived and worked in Moncton for two decades and is actively involved in the community.
She has worked with organizations that provide essential services to families including Moncton Headstart and the Humanity Project.
If elected, she would seek more accountability and resources for policing, affordable housing and the local economy.
She believes long-term planning and input from residents of all ages will be needed to manage Moncton’s growth.
Nichol ran unsuccessfully for city council in Ward 3 in 2016.
