Moncton South residents have elected a Progressive Conservative MLA.
Greg Turner says the party has a solid plan for the province’s economic recovery.
“With a majority government, it’s phenomenal for New Brunswickers and I think for our party it’s really endorsement of what we’ve been working hard at for the last 2 years and now we have 4 years to really put everything into play and make things better for New Brunswickers,” he says.
Turner says one of the most important issues in the riding is homelessness.
He says the PCs have a serious plan to address this, including wrap around services for mental health and addiction.
Turner says campaigning during a pandemic brought on some unique challenges.
“When you don’t have that personal contact, it’s hard to read. We did a lot of phone calls, a lot of social media work but it’s really hard to get a read so you just do what you think is right and safe and that’s one of the important things here throughout this campaign, that we stayed safe right up until now,” he says.
Turner has been serving as councilor-at-large for the city of Moncton.
