All passengers on a recent flight from Toronto to Charlottetown are being told to monitor for symptoms of COVID-19.
Prince Edward Island chief public health officer Dr. Heather Morrison says the five newest Island cases tested positive between day 10 and 12 of their self-isolation period.
The five men took Air Canada flight #8360 on July 30.
Any passengers on that flight should call 811 if they develop symptoms of the virus.
Dr. Morrison says the essential workers – not in health care – are doing well, they’ve had limited close contacts and tracing is now complete.
