A 38-year-old man is facing a number of charges in connection to an investigation by the New Brunswick RCMP.
Police say they received a assault report in the Moncton area last Tuesday.
After conducting a search at a home on Clarendon Drive as part of an investigation into the assault complaint, police seized seized several firearms and other items.
They arrested the individual the following day and on Friday Marc Everett Lebouthiller appeared via teleremand.
He is facing a total of 18 charges:
- two counts of assault
- sexual assault
- choking
- three counts of uttering threats
- three counts of possession of firearms without licence
- three counts of knowingly possessing firearms without licence
- careless storage of a firearm
- carless storage of ammunition
- possession of lock picking tools
- possession of a prohibited weapon.
Lebouthiller remains in custody until his bail hearing in Moncton Provincial Court on Wednesday.
