Lush Handmade Cosmetics is setting up shop in Moncton for the holiday season.
Moncton’s director of economic development Kevin Silliker says the boutique will be set up in the green space next to City Hall from December 5th to the 22nd.
He says this is part of Lush’s marketing research into opening a permanent store here.
Moncton City Council got a first look at what the temporary boutique would look like.
This will be Lush’s first pop-up store in Canada and Coucillor Gregg Turner says it will attract shoppers from surrounding areas.
In line with the brand’s high ethical standards, Lush has also agreed to make a contribution to a local cause that aligns with their vision.
Silliker says the location is a one-time deal because it will become the Gerald LeBlanc park in early 2020.
However, Moncton city manager Marc Landry says its an opportunity for the city to explore how pop-up shops may contribute to city’s strategic plan to create a vibrant downtown.
