Codiac RCMP want everyone to have a safe Halloween and are passing along some tips for tonight.
Community Policing manager Eric Larose says make sure costumes are tight-fitting and bright with reflective tape or armbands.
“Make sure your vision is not restricted and consider completing your costume with makeup instead of a mask,” he notes.
Larose says ghosts and goblins should head out with parents, siblings or go in groups and should stay on sidewalks and avoid jaywalking.
He adds parents should know where their kids are going and set a curfew.
When the trick or treaters get home, Larose says parents should check all candy before it is eaten and toss out things like apples or oranges.
