Artists from all over Canada and the U.S. will be in town this weekend for the 7th annual Hub City Tattoo Expo.
A total of 110 tattoo artists will showcase their work and even give on-site tattoos for a chance at winning daily competitions.
Event organizer, Brad Dawe says attendees with fully healed tattoos will also get the opportunity to enter competitions.
“It costs 10 dollars to enter the competition and you can win an award from that. One day we’re doing black and grey and the other day we’re doing colour,” says Dawe.
The event also features live music and entertainment, including a sword swallower and a suspension show.
“That’s where the guys kind of hang from hooks from the ceiling and that always seems to draw a pretty good crowd,” says Dawe.
He adds that about 15 vendors will also be on site selling things like clothing, jewelry and other tattoo-related merchandise.
The event runs from October 4th to the 6th at the Moncton Colliseum. Hours are Friday: 2-10; Saturday: 12-10; Sunday: 12-6.
Admission is available at the door, children under 12 get in free, daily passes are $15 and $35 for weekend passes.
