Hurricane Dorian is expected to arrive in Atlantic Canada this weekend as either a Category 1 hurricane or a strong tropical storm.
The Canadian Hurricane Centre believes Dorian will head up the Atlantic coast and follow a path near Nova Scotia on Saturday.
Forecasters say the strength of the storm is expected to diminish as it passes through the Maritimes.
Dorian will bring rain to most of the region and hurricane force winds along with large waves are likely on the southern coast of Nova Scotia.
The hurricane has already caused massive destruction in the Bahamas and is now moving along the Atlantic coast of the Southeastern United States.
