Three residents of the Hub City will receive the 2019 Order of Moncton.
Huberte Gautreau, Michael McKee and Lorne Mitton will be formally inducted on October 2.
In addition to having successful careers, all three have been tireless community volunteers.
Huberte Gautreau is a nurse, a pioneer in the feminist movement, a health and human rights advocate and she co-founded Crossroads for Women.
Michael McKee began a varied career as a priest, then earned a law degree while serving as an longtime MLA and cabinet minister before being appointed a provincial court judge.
Lorne Mitton worked in the transportation industry and later became a councillor and mayor while also being an avid curler who helped bring major sporting events to Moncton.

The trio were chosen by a selection committee comprised of elected municipal officials, three Moncton residents, and a city administrator.
