The RCMP, a ground search and rescue team and a military helicopter are involved in the search for a missing 75-year-old man from the Cape Enrage area.
Mounties say Gary Steeves was last seen on Tuesday at his home on Highway 915 in Waterside.
He failed to return from an overnight stay at his family’s cottage on Tingley Lake Road near Cape Enrage.
He has been known to walk the tidal water beach next to the cottage.
Gary Steeves is described as being 5 feet 6 inches (168 cm) tall, weighs about 140 pounds (64 kg) and is bald with blue eyes.
He has difficulty walking due to a recent medical condition.
