Three people from Greater Moncton are among 10 recipients who will receive the Order of New Brunswick later this year.
Michel Doucet of Dieppe is being honoured for his extraordinary commitment to the legal profession and outstanding contributions to language rights.
Léo Johnson of Moncton is being recognized for social justice activism and protecting vulnerable people in his community.
Lois Scott of Shediac Cape will also be honoured for pioneering the establishment of a provincewide telehealth service.
A formal ceremony for recipients will be held at Government House in October.
The Order of New Brunswick was established in 2000 to recognize individuals who achieve excellence in their particular field.
