As a partner in the upcoming Touchdown Atlantic, Schooners Sports and Entertainment says they want to give everyone a chance to experience a CFL game.
Spokesperson Anthony LeBlanc says involving the local and regional football communities in game planning was important.
LeBlanc says their key market are families with children who play football.
“Some activities include punt, pass and kick competitions which are happening across Atlantic Canada. One of the things that we’ll be doing on game day at half-time is featuring some minor football players.”
LeBlanc adds Touchdown Atlantic is not critical when it comes to the Schooners’ long term strategy of bringing a CFL team to Halifax.
Officials have been reluctant to discuss ticket sales which have been sluggish to date.
The August 25th game between the Toronto Argonauts and the Montreal Alouettes is being played at Moncton Medavie Blue Cross Stadium.
