The Touchdown Atlantic game at Moncton Stadium is less than a month away but a football podcaster says you would barely know it by looking around the city.
Wray Dunn with First Down Sports thinks promoting the game should be a community effort and not just a push from the Atlantic Schooners organization.
“The fact that we can host the team here for a year, possibly two, that brings a lot of great things for this city.”
He believes there would be many spin-offs for kids and for football registrations.
Dunn notes how Moncton has a CFL-ready stadium and while Halifax is seeking a franchise, the city is still wrangling over building a new stadium.
The Toronto Argonauts and Montreal Alouettes will clash at Touchdown Atlantic on August 25th.
