The Magnetic Hill Zoo is hosting a new event series to help bring awareness to an endangered species.
The first Breakfast with Tigers events are being held this week including one on Friday morning.
Participants will have a chance to go on a behind the scenes tour of the tiger building and talk to their caregivers.
The zoo’s visitor and Education Program co-ordinator, Cathy Simon says it’s been a hit so far…
“Just from the body language and the questions they were asking, we are pretty confident that they were pleased with the experience,” says Simon.
Simon says there are a few things you can do to support these creatures.
“How we can help these animals that live on the other side of the world is to reduce the amount of paper products that we use. Because that would decrease the amount of trees that are being cut down all over the world. Having more trees has a positive impact on these tigers an many other species,” she says.
There are also a number of dates for the event in the fall, but Simon says spots are filling up quickly.
