Some of the results have now been released to help shed light on what killed the fish in Jones Lake last month.
The Department of Environment and Local Government reviewed results from water quality samples and found that nitrogen and phosphorus levels were high.
An emailed statement from the department says this, along with warm water temperatures that occurred prior to June 17th may have contributed to the fish kill in the Lake.
Dozens of dead white sucker fish were found along the banks of the Lake last month, causing concern for area residents about the quality of the water.
The City also closed the Lake to recreational activities as a precaution.
