It is expected to be a busy morning on the lawn in front of Moncton City Hall tomorrow.
Hundreds of mats will be set up in celebration of International yoga day.
Co-Founder Cathy Manuel says they are also hoping to inspire everyone for next month’s event.
“We thought, what a better way to kick off the countdown to Breathe Yoga Festival by having a free event on the front lawn of City Hall.”
Manuel says, “All different shapes, sizes, genders and ages can take part in yoga. You don’t need to touch your toes to come to yoga. That is a misconception that a lot of people have. They think they have to be flexible before they come. Moving through the poses actually helps to make you more flexible.”
The event tomorrow gets underway at noon.
“It will be a Kundalini style class. It is a fun form, and enjoyable style whether or are a beginner or advanced,” Manuel says.
With the forecast, there is a chance that it may have to be moved indoors. If there is rain, you are asked to gather at Bend City Yoga studio on Church Street at noon.
