A slim majority of New Brunswickers are satisfied with the performance of the Higgs government according to a new poll from Narrative Research.
In terms of popular support, the Progressive Conservatives have a wide lead with 42 percent of decided voters backing the party (unchanged from February 2019).
The Liberals are next with 25 percent support followed by the Greens at 18 percent which is a statistical high for the party.
The NDP had 8 percent support while the People’s Alliance captured 6 percent.
Blaine Higgs is the preferred choice for premier among the party leaders at 29 percent support with new Liberal leader Kevin Vickers in second place at 19 percent.
Green Party leader David Coon is nipping at his heels with 17 percent and People’s Alliance leader Kris Austin was in fourth place at 8 percent.
One-quarter of voters are undecided about which party they would support if an election were held today.
Narrative Research (formerly Corporate Research Associates) surveyed 800 New Brunswick adults by telephone from May 2 to 22, 2019.
