New Brunswickers will be able to buy beer and other alcoholic beverages at select grocery stores starting in October.
NB Liquor says customers are seeking more convenient opportunities to shop for their products.
As part of a pilot project, NB Liquor launched sales of wine in select grocery stores in 2014.
Today, 66 grocery outlets across the province sell wine and cider including local products.
“Our government is excited about this announcement,” said Finance and Treasury Board Minister Ernie Steeves.
“This decision shows NB Liquor is adapting and responding to consumer demands and will position the corporation for future success as they continue to grow their business in a socially responsible way.”
In addition to expanding its offerings in grocery stores, NB Liquor recently opened its first Experience wine store in downtown Moncton.
