The Court of Queen’s Bench of New Brunswick has a new chief justice.
Honourable Tracey K. DeWare has been appointed by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Graduating from UNB Law School in 1994, DeWare has more than 18 years of experience practising law in Moncton.
She has been serving as a judge of the Family Division of the Court of Queen’s Bench since 2012.
Chief Justice DeWare replaces the Honourable David D. Smith, who retired in March after more than 26 years of distinguished service as a judge.
