The Anglophone East School District put schools in Riverview and Salisbury in a “Hold and Secure” mode around 10:30 Wednesday morning but the protocol has since been lifted.
RCMP were called to investigate an incident.
The “Hold and Secure” mode at Riverview High School and J.M.A. Armstrong High School/Salisbury Middle School meant that no one could enter or leave the buildings but regular classes continued inside.
Anglophone East School District spokesperson Stephanie Patterson said an incident occurred outside involving students from the schools.
Mounties lifted the “Hold and Secure” mode at around 12:20 Wednesday afternoon.
No other details have been released.
