One of the oldest residents of the Magnetic Hill Zoo has died.
Zoo staff say one of the white handed gibbons named Molly has died (on Saturday, May 4) just a few weeks before her 44th birthday.
Having lived at the Magnetic Hill Zoo for over 25 years, Molly was known to many as having a great singing voice.
The zoo’s animal health team has been monitoring her condition over the past year.
Given her advanced age, her death was not unexpected but zoo staff say she will be deeply missed.
