Ten banks have come together to help the Canadian Red Cross provide emergency relief and support for communities in New Brunswick, Ontario, and Québec impacted by flooding.
Banks are arranging special payment options for people impacted by the floods and are also making corporate contributions.
President and CEO of Canadian Red Cross Conrad Sauve says, “The current flooding in communities across Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick has created an immensely difficult situation for many residents and their families. In times of emergency the Red Cross mobilizes to help vulnerable people. Thanks to the support of the Canadian Bankers Association and participating banks, we are able to ensure there are options for Canadians wanting to make a donation to help those in need.”
