The federal government has accepted the provincial government’s request for help with spring flooding.
Premier Blaine Higgs spoke to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau last night. Higgs says he has offered his support including the assistance of the Canadian Armed Forces as needed and required.

Meetings between officials with the New Brunswick Emergency Measures Organizations and representatives from the Armed Forces also met last night.
Flooding is forecast in more than 15 communities between Saint-François-de-Madawaska and Saint John in the coming days.
Now New Brunswick has also requested federal assistance to help fight flooding in that province, and of course the Government of Canada’s answer is YES.
