Hitting a pothole can become a costly expense for drivers especially this time of year when there are seemingly more potholes than you can count.
Spring is definitely the busy season for tire shops in our region.
Brad Colpitts, manager of Miller TireCraft in Moncton, says he is seeing vehicles with cracked or bent rims and tire damage.
For a customer, he says it can easily cost about $200 or more to replace one rim and a tire after striking a pothole.
He urges drivers to keep their eyes open and be aware of potholes.
While some may appear small, he says they may in fact be very deep and can cause a lot of damage.
Colpitts says he does a fair bit of driving around the province and adds roads in Moncton seem especially bad for potholes.
