What Kids Need Moncton has a new location for its clothing donation program.
A local family is offering the use of a detached garage.
Founder Amanda Pooley says it isn’t exactly what they had before, but it is a start, “This location will allow us to at least start accepting clothing donations, sorting them and delivering them to families. It is still going to help us get clothing back into the hands of those who who need it.”
Pooley says they gave out the last of their donated clothing at Christmas, because they had nowhere to store it.
“We are starting from ground zero right now. We’re not only in need of clothing of all sizes, but we also need plastic and metal shelving and containers with lids so that we can start getting the clothing organized.”
Pooley adds, the hope is that they can eventually move into a bigger location again, once they are restablished. This will allow families to come in and pick their clothing and take it home.
