Have you ever wondered if you have what it takes to be an Olympian?
The RBC Training Ground is making a stop at U de M today in Moncton, and in Fredericton on May 5th.
Spokesperson Hannah Vaughn says they are looking for future athletes who have the speed, endurance and strength to compete, “The top 100 athletes will be selected to compete at the National finals in Calgary, where they will be given the opportunity to perform in front of coaches and recruitment teams, as well as coaches from different sports organizations.”
There are around six sporting groups involved, including snowboarding, cycling, rowing, rugby and rowing,”We really want to be in communities where we know there are strong athletes. Especially in Atlantic Canada, it is very exciting for us to have RBC Training Ground there because it allows athletes to get access to sports that they may never have consider before,” Vaughn says.
If you are between the ages of 14 to 25 can qualify.
“We get over 100 athletes at some of them, which is a very exciting crowd when you get that many athletes there competing together, It is a very supportive environment,” Vaughn says.
