It’s tax season, but if numbers and calculations aren’t your strength, there are individuals who can help.
The Chartered Professional Accountants Organization is offering free tax clinics to New Brunswickers who meet specific criteria.
This is the first year for the clinics, but Spokesperson Mylene LaPierre says they have had a large turnout already. Nine clients attended their first clinic earlier this month.

LaPierre says they often see students, newcomers, and seniors, but your income must be at a certain level, “It is for people with a modest income and simple tax situation for an income of below $35, 000.”
When attending a clinic, you should provide all of the required paperwork, “It is first come, first serve and the clients must provide all tax slips and receipts, including your social insurance number and identification,” Lapierre says.
