A man has died after a multi-vehicle pileup on Fredericton’s north side during whiteout conditions this week.
Fredericton Police say the 27-year-old driver of one of the vehicles was hospitalized with critical injuries on Tuesday.
Firefighters had to extract the man from the vehicle.
Police say the man died Wednesday night.
Several people were also taken to hospital in the Cocagne area on Tuesday after 15-vehicle pileup on Highway 11 during zero visibility in blowing snow.
Emergency responders closed that section of road for almost 24 hours.
