Two sisters from the Acadian Peninsula are now $5 million dollars richer thanks to winning Lotto 6/49.
Paulette and Lorraine Hache bought their ticket at a convenience store in Northumberland County for the February 13th draw.
Paulette says she bought the ticket after attending a bridal show for her daughter’s upcoming wedding.
They picked up their winnings Wednesday at Atlantic Lottery Corporation headquarters in Moncton.
The two sisters are retired and have been buying tickets together for a couple of years.
Both say their husbands can now retire too.
The families are close and plan on helping out their children, do some travelling and pay off bills.
Paulette adds there will be a beautiful wedding for her daughter this summer.
The winning ticket was sold at Clover Farm in Brantville and the retailer will receive a one percent seller’s prize.
