Britney Snowdon of Moncton will be Team New Brunswick’s flag-bearer for the opening ceremony of the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, Alberta.
Nineteen-year-old Snowdon is a member of the ringette squad and will lead the provincial delegation into the arena.
Snowdon plays for the Atlantic Attack of the National Ringette League and was named rookie of the year in 2018.
She also helped Team New Brunswick win a bronze medal at the 2015 Canada Winter Games.
Opening ceremonies will get underway tonight at 9:30 Atlantic Time.
Team New Brunswick will conduct practice sessions today before competition begins Saturday.
