Cape Bald Packers plans to rebuild its lobster processing plant in Bedec as soon as the insurance company and engineers can give the green light.
Company spokesperson Joanne Losier says the company is relieved no one was hurt in the recent fire which destroyed the facility.
RCMP have ruled out foul play.
In a best case scenario, Losier says the company would hope to have a new plant up and running by August.
Losier says the new facility will be more modern than the previous one which had undergone considerable renovations.
Meanwhile, Cape Bald Packers has already announced displaced employees will have jobs in May at the company’s two plants in Cap-Pele.
A free shuttle bus will be provided to and from the Richibucto area.
