Genworth Canada and Habitat for Humanity what to know what is the Meaning of Home to you?
Students in grades 4, 5 and 6 are invited to submit their poems, essays, stories or videos.
Executive Director For Moncton’s Habitat for Humanity Chantal Landry says there are three grand prize winners, “They are able to direct the grant to the Habitat for Humanity of their choice. The nine runner ups get a grant for Habitat as well.”
The grand prizes are $25,000 grants. The runner-up prizes are $5000.
These funds will go directly to either help current or future homeowners with Humanity for Humanity.
Landry says they will also be given $10 for every entry received in this region..
“This contest allows kids to be creative, but it also allows them to just use a poem or other writing piece of video, to talk about what home means to me. That will help contribute to help people become homeowners in my community.”
The deadline for submissions is February 18.
