It’s crunch time for Christmas. Getting all of the presents purchased and wrapped can get stressful.
The Greater Moncton SPCA is once again offering to help and in return, you’ll be giving back to a great cause.
Executive Director Dave Rogers says their gift wrapping service has moved this year.
“What you do, is you gather them all up, and bring them to Walmart and we are right there by the front cash registers. For a donation, we will wrap them all up for you. We have a sign with a suggested donation based on the size of the gift,” Rogers says.
This is a new location for the gift wrapping fundraiser this year. It was set up at CF Champlain in the past, but Rogers says last year they were told they would have to find a new location.
This year they are at the Walmart on Plaza Boulevard.
“We have 59 people involved in this and they are all volunteers. As it gets busier they will have more people wrapping. It takes a lot of volunteers, to make this happen,” Rogers says.
The SPCA says they hope to raise $20, 000.They’ll be wrapping gifts until December 24th.
