A unique and innovative museum concept will soon be housed inside an iconic landmark in Moncton – the Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption Cathedral.
Spearheaded by a group known as MR21, the museum will feature interactive and lively displays supported by interpretive guides.
The importance of the cathedral in the social, spiritual, economic and cultural life of Acadia will be highlighted.
With an opening planned for next summer, the museum is partly inspired by a growing interest in spiritual and religious tourism.
MR21 (Monument of Recognition in the 21st Century) is a non-profit organization which is supported by private and philanthropic funds.
