The City of Moncton and Codiac RCMP have unveiled a transportation plan for the upcoming AC/DC concert on Magnetic Hill.
City spokesperson Jillian Somers says Park n’ Ride shuttles will be available from the Moncton Coliseum parking lot on concert day – September 5th.
“The Park n’ Ride shuttles are going to be $10 per bracelet and they start leaving from the Coliseum at noon. It’s a great option and you get dropped off at the Gate 1 road. You can endulge as much as you want and not worry about your own vehicle… so that’s a great option,” Somers says.
Bicycle and walk-up access is available at the main gate along with a taxi and charter bus drop off.
Ability Transit will be available for concert-goers who require special assistance.
Codiac RCMP Corporal Mike Gaudet says the traffic plan will involve some road closures and one-way traffic for some roads.
“Some road closures and some exit ramps may be closed. We’re asking everyone to look into things before you get there and plan ahead. Look at the maps on www.moncton.ca/acdc,” notes Gaudet.
Once again for this concert, no on-site parking will be available on Magnetic Hill but private vendors will be offering paid parking and some spaces will be available for a cost at Magic Mountain.
