The Atlantic Institute for Market Studies has come out with a new study on the effect of price controls for gasoline on consumers.
President and C-E-O Marco Navarro-Genie says the study found the weekly setting of gas prices has been a bad deal for consumers.
According to the study, drivers in New Brunswick have paid $15 million more than they otherwise would have since 2006 and consumers in Nova Scotia have paid out $36 million more.
