It's officially spring in New Brunswick - the vernal equinox arrived at 7:28 this morning.
Weather Network meteorologist Michael Carter says spring is a transitional season and that means we could still see more wintry-weather yet.
"We are certainly not out of the woods yet. We will still have a few opportunities for impactful snowfall," he notes.
Carter believes temperatures will really start to warm up later in April and May but before then we could still get brief shots of winter.
During the spring or vernal equinox, the length of days and nights are almost equal and the days will continue to lengthen until the summer solstice in June.
