The fate of the old Moncton High School could finally be revealed on Tuesday.
The provincial government has announced a news conference for Tuesday afternoon (August 1st) at 1pm at the former school and Premier Brian Gallant will be in attendance.
Moncton Centre MLA Chris Collins was among several provincial representatives who recently toured the old MHS and pointed out how significant the 1300 seat auditorium is for the school's alumni.
"Many generations of Monctonians have walked down this aisle and across this stage for their graduation ceremonies," he noted.
The two known proposals to reinvent the old school are from Terra Trust/Bird Construction and from the MH35 group which wants to turn it into a cultural centre.
Incidently, the MH35 group has posted a invitation to the news conference on its Facebook page.
