This is the time of year, when many people struggle financially, that according to a Leger survey conducted for the Financial Planning Standards Council and Credit Canada.
They found that between now and Valentine’s Day is often considered the “saddest time of year”
53 per cent of Canadians are feeling financially blue, with the younger generations especially struggling.
One in-five Canadians has a credit card balance larger than their savings account.
68 per cent of younger adults between the ages of 18 and 44 are especially concerned about finances at this time of year.
25 per cent of Canadians do not have enough money put away to take a winter vacation to escape the stress of winter.
