The provincial government is giving the Moncton Boys and Girls Club $125,000 annually for the next two years to fund the Raising the Grade program.
The program helps approximately 300 children and youth not comfortable in the traditional classroom setting get specialized educational programs and services.
Raising the Grade was put at risk after support from the program’s leading funding partner came to its scheduled end.
The Boys and Girls Club has previously said they need a multi-year funding commitment of $155,500 to keep the program alive.
The province expects funding from corporate and community partners to fill in the remaining funding gap of $30,500.
