Work continues for Rockfest, that will be held at the River Glen Amphitheatre on Salisbury Road in Moncton in advance of this Saturday's outdoor concert.
Crews are very busy, getting the stage and sound equipment ready for several musical acts. Burton Cummings, Nazareth, The Stampeders, Sass Jordan and Gowan.
Promoter Emery Bourque wouldn't tell us how many tickets have been sold so far, but he expects a large group of enthusiastic fans, "Moncton is known to buy last minute, because you need to see that nice yellow dot on the weather forecast. I am happy to say you won't have to bring your umbrella. We are now seeing it, it's the sun. So everyone is excited, and we anticipate to have a very good crowd."
Bourque says the site can hold around 10, 000 people.
He adds overnight camping is sold out, "If you are camping, you need to come in on Friday and setup. If you want to set-up and then leave, you can do that. However on Saturday, we can not allow you to set-up, because of emergency purposed and because of all of the people coming in."
