Sentencing is scheduled for this morning in Moncton court for 19 year old Devin Morningstar.
He was convicted in November of the first degree murder of Baylee Wylie, as well as arson, in connection with a fire that was set in the home where Wylie's body was found.
Victim impact statements are expected to be read.
First-degree murder, comes with an automatic sentence of life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years.
Wylie's body was found after a fire in a Sumac Street home in Moncton in December of 2015.
Two others are also facing first degree murder and arson charges. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Marissa Shephard in May, and Tyler Noel is scheduled to stand trial in October.
