Atlantic Chamber of Commerce CEO Sheri Somerville says New Brunswick has a choice of either managing growth or managing decline.

Somerville says the province is facing a severe labour shortage.
“There are companies in the province that really need people in the next coming years. We also need to focus on our exports. There are a great percentage of our goods that go across the border and we know those conversations with NAFTA are going on… but we have to diversify those markets,” she says.
Somerville adds New Brunswick must get its fiscal house in order noting how the debt needs to be paid down and the books need to be balanced.
In addition to the Atlantic Chamber of Commerce, this business coalition consists of the province’s English and French business councils along with the Chambers of Commerce from Moncton, Saint John and Fredericton.
