The Weather Network has unveiled its winter outlook for the three month period of December, January and February.
Meteorologist Dana Vitesse says Metro Moncton can expect near normal temperatures during the upcoming winter.
Vitesse says temperatures will actually skew both ways throughout the winter and it will depend a lot on the storm track for the next few months.
Vitesse says precipitation could run slightly above normal but should be close to average overall this winter.
She adds the storm track is expected to be more active with systems moving up the American East Coast into Atlantic Canada.
According to the Weather Network, average winter temperature in Moncton is -7 C with about 309 mm of precipitation (rain and melted snow).
