The Conservative MLA for Rothesay will be seeking re-election next year.

Ted Flemming says he's suspicious of the provincial government's motives when it comes to the independence of the auditor-general and talk restructuring the office of the chief medical health officer. Flemming warns you don't want to mess around with public health. He points out the former Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Eilish Cleary was fired for no reason and the job has never been permanently filled.

The Vice-Chair of the Southern New Brunswick Forest Products Marketing Board, John Sabine will be running for the Green Party in the next provincial election.

It has also been announced Liberal cabinet minister Rick Doucet has been nominated in the riding of Fundy-The Isles-Saint John West.
