We should know later today whether or not a boil water order can be lifted in central Moncton. 3900 homes, businesses and schools have been affected by the advisory, after a major water main break on Edgett Avenue on Tuesday.
The advisory was put into place as a precautionary measure, in the case the water had been contaminated during the repairs.
The advisory is put into place for 72 hours, but the city has been working with the Department of Health and water quality testing is being done.
Once the advisory can be lifted, the City will be sending out a notification.
