It had to happen eventually.
We’re looking at an increase at the gas pumps this morning, but not anything major.
The Energy and Utilities Board in New Brunswick hiked the price of regular self serve overnight by 1.6 cents a litre. Most stations in Moncton are selling for around 91 cents this morning.
Senior Petroleum Analyst with Gasbuddy.com Dan McTeague says there’s still time to reap the benefits of these lower prices.
He says, “I don’t see the prices going back up to a dollar right away. You’ve got a couple of months to think about it, and to enjoy and maybe put a few dollars away. Compared to this time last year, many are saving upwards of $25 a tank.”
As for other fuel prices, Diesel and furnace oil dipped by point nine cents a litre. Propane is down by 1.2 cents.
